EPOS Manager Opportunity at Moriarty’s Super Valu, Palmerstown, Dublin 20.

 

The Moriarty Group is an Irish owned company involved in both the Retail Grocery and Hospitality Industries. The company’s portfolio currently comprises of three large Super Valu Supermarkets in Balbriggan and Skerries in North County Dublin and Palmerstown, Dublin 20.  The company also owns two 4* Hotels, the Bracken Court Hotel, Balbriggan, North County Dublin, and the Courtyard Hotel, Leixlip, Co. Kildare.  The company currently employee’s approximately 550 people.

The Moriarty Group of Super Valu's are 3 of the largest Super Valu stores in the Dublin area. We are currently seeking to recruit a Scanning Manager for our busy Balbriggan store.    

If you are an experienced Scanning Manager or Scanning Assistant and  would like to further develop your career in this area this could be an excellent opportunity for you.

 

The Position:

This is a full-time position and will require the candidate to work 40 hrs per week to include weekends and public holidays.

 

Main Duties:

 

  • Co-ordinate the day to day management if the stores scanning dept.
  • Ensure that all products are set up correctly on the gold system/scanning system so that they scan correctly at the checkout.
  • Ensure that products are priced correctly on the shelves/shop floor.
  • Ensure that all point of sales/promotional signage is implemented for the relevant PA runs etc.
  • Maintain the integrity of the pricing system in-store.
  • Daily/weekly reports.
  • Assist in other areas of the store is needed.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Previous experience working as a Scanning Manager/Scanning Assistant in a busy grocery retail environment is essential.
  • Must be fluent in the English Language both written and spoken.
  • Must be comfortable using a computer.
  • Must be enthusiastic and a quick learner.
  • Must be able to multi-task and be willing to help out where required in all areas of the store.
  • Must have excellent customer care skills.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Excellent people skills.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
  • Must be available for midweek day shifts, early starts, late finishes and weekends.
