Night Porter


Night Porter Opportunity at the 4* Bracken Court Hotel, Balbriggan, Co. Dublin.


At the Bracken Court Hotel, we are currently seeking to recruit an experienced hotel night porter to join our in-house team. If you have the relevant experience and would like to develop your career within a busy property we could have an excellent opportunity for you.


Main Duties:

  • General Supervision of the Hotel Overnight following handover from the Late Duty Manager
  • General night porter duties
  • Reception duties - check in and check outs
  • Cleaning duties - public areas
  • General porter duties
  • Conference/function room set up
  • Food & beverage department duties



  • 2 years previous experience as a night porter within a 3 /4* property
  • Previous experience working with a front office system is desirable for check-ins and check-outs
  • Must be fluent in the English Language both written and spoken
  • Must have excellent customer care skills
  • Excellent knowledge of fire safety and health and safety regulations relevant to the role
  • Must have strong people skills
  • Must have strong communications skills
  • Must be available to work the hours required as set out above
  • The ideal candidate will hold a current occupational first aid certificate – although this is not essential
