Balbriggan Post Office

Post Office Cashier

We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Post Office Clerk to join our professional in-house team.

 

The Role:

This is a part-time position working an average of 24 hours per week, 3 days over 6, between Monday and Saturday. Applicants should be flexible in their roster availability as shifts will include, day shifts, lunch cover shift and Saturday mornings (please note that Saturday shifts are half day only and rotated).

 

Main Duties:

  • Support the office manager in the day-to-day management of the office. 
  • Carry out general cashier counter duties.
  • Provide a high level of customer care to all customers of the office.
  • Assist customers in availing of An Post services.
  • Ensure that you are aware of and familiar with all services provide by An Post.
  • Opening and closing duties. 

 

Requirements:

  • 1- 2 years’ experience working as a post office cashier is desirable.
  • Must have experience in a front facing role - working with the public.
  • Must have experience in cash handling.
  • Must be fluent in the English Language both written and spoken.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail.
  • Must have strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent people skills.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
  • Must be flexible in your roster availability.
