Moriarty Group introduce Employee Assistance Programme with Laya Healthcare

The Moriarty Group are delighted to announce that we have partnered with Laya Healthcare to provide our teams across all 5 properties with access to an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).

An Employee Assistance Programme is a work-based support service/counselling service that provides support to employees and their families which includes spouse/partner and any dependent who is over 16 years of age and living in the same household.

This is a confidential independent service that provides staff access to specialists who can provide them with support on personal or work-related issues that may be affecting their work or home life such as anxiety or stress, grief/bereavement, addictions, relationship or marital issues, work stress, work life balance issues, career progression or retirement. It can also provide advice on financial assistance, legal assistance, life coaching, day to day practical advice and health advice.

This service is available to all employees free of charge – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Employees will be provided with contact details for our EAP provider which will allow them to use the service directly without the need to go through their HR contact or Manager (although they will always be available if their support is needed).

All specialists and Counsellors available through the service are fully accredited and specialists in their field.

As this is a confidential service no information about an employee’s issues will be given to anyone without their consent. The company will never know who used the service or how many times.

If a staff member rings the service, they will be put through to an experienced Case Manager (fully trained counsellor) who will carry out an assessment with each caller to ensure that they get the specialised assistance they need.

Staff can also access a whole host of online services through the website e.g., educational resources such as videos, blogs and e-learning on topics such as mental health, self-care, fitness, nutrition and more. There is also live chat and video counselling available through the website which will provide access to regularly updated blogs and information on the EAP service.

If employees enter the EAP counselling service, they will have access to 6 counselling sessions per year.

The EAP scheme is being introduced by the Moriarty Group to offer our team a new service that they can access confidentially to discuss a wide range of topics - which we hope will be a support to our team and their families and the scheme is in addition to the supports we already have in place.

- Financial Assistance

- Legal Assistance

- Life Coaching

- Career Counselling

- Consumer Advice

- Mediation

- Support for Non-Irish Nationals and their families

- Day to Day Practical Advice (Home, Travel, Eldercare Services, Childcare)

- Health Advice including Physio, Podiatrists and Dietitians.

- Work Relocation Advice

Laya's Employee Assistance Programme qualified counsellors are highly experienced in both personnal and work related issues and can support anyone suffering a wide variety of problems, includinng but not limited to:

- Depression

- Anxiety

- Stress

- Grief and bereavement

- Addictions

- Relationship and marital problems

- Work stress and work life balance issues

- Workplace conflict and communication

- Career progression or retirement

The Moriarty Group are delighted to have introduced this new scheme and have it rolled out across the group, making this supportive service available to all our employees and ttheir families.
