Meat Counterhand

Meat Department Counterhand Opportunity in Moriarty’s Super Valu, Church Street, Skerries, Co. Dublin.

 

The Moriarty Group is an Irish owned company, involved in both the retail grocery and hotel industries.  The company owns three large Super Valu, Stores in Balbriggan, Skerries and Palmerstown and two 4* hotels, the Courtyard Hotel, Leixlip, Co. Kildare and the Bracken Court Hotel in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin.  The company currently employees 550 staff.

The Moriarty Group of Super Valu's are 3 of the largest Super Valu stores in the Dublin area.  We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Meat Counter Chargehand to join the fresh foods team in our Skerries store.

The Role:

This is a full-time position working an average of 39 hours per week, 5 days over 7 to include weekends and public holidays.

Main Duties: 

·      Assisting the butchery team in the day to day operations of this busy department

·      General counter service duties

·      Counter merchandising/displays.

·      Providing excellent customer care to all customers.

·      HACCP Duties.

Requirements:

·      Must be fluent in the English Language both written and spoken.

·      Previous experience working as a counterhand in a butchery department is essential.

·      Must have a strong knowledge of fresh meat/butchery products.

·      HACCP trained.

·      Must have excellent customer care skills

·      Must have strong people skills

·      Must have strong communications skills

·      Must be available to work early starts and late finishes and weekends.

·      Must be able to work as a team and on own initiative.
